The Catalan giants parted with £97million to land the striker from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, after Neymar left the Nou Camp for Paris Saint-Germain.
He picked up an injury relatively early into his spell at Barcelona, but returned to first team action in January, and last featured for the club in their Catalan Super Cup over Espanyol on Wednesday.
Dembele is yet to score for Barcelona, but has plenty of time in which to rediscover some form, given the fact he is only 20.
But it seems the club are slightly concerned by his lifestyle, which could impact his long-term career in Spain, especially as they are linked with a move for Antoine Griezmann.
A report from Spanish radio station Cadena SER claims the Frenchman is a fan of fast-food, and enjoys night's out in Spain.
It adds that the club are worried his lifestyle - and particularly his diet - means he is more likely to pick up an injury.
Dembele recently revealed how he came close to signing for Liverpool before agreeing terms with Dortmund.
"I spoke to three clubs [when leaving Rennes]," he told Onze Mondial. "Dortmund, Liverpool and Barcelona.
"I had an appointment with Barcelona. I told them, 'For next season, it will not be possible. But the next time you contact me, I'll come. ' And that's what happened."
