BREAKING: Northern govs begin emergency meeting over Shiites, Army clash

An emergency meeting of the governors of the 19 Northern states, under the aegis of Northern States Governors’ Forum, has commenced in Kaduna.

The governors called the emergency meeting to discuss recent events in the region, with special emphasis on the clash between soldiers and Shiite members in Zaria, Kaduna State, last Saturday.

No fewer than 60 persons reportedly died in the bloody clash.
